Privacy Policy

This policy applies to all visitors and users of charterindia.live, including customers submitting charter requests, operators registering or listing aircraft, brokers, and any other person who provides personal data through our platform.

We collect the following categories of personal data:

• Identity data: Name, email address, mobile number.
• Travel data: Origin and destination cities, travel dates, passenger counts, purpose of travel.
• Operator data: Company name, DGCA AOC number, aircraft fleet details, base city.
• Booking and payment data: Booking reference numbers, payment amounts, GST details. Payment card data is handled solely by our third-party payment processor and is never stored by us.
• Usage data: Pages visited, time on site, device type, browser, and IP address (collected via analytics tools).

We do not collect sensitive personal data (as defined under the DPDP Act) unless specifically required for a service you request.

We use your personal data only for the following purposes ("specified purposes"):

• To process and respond to charter requests and connect you with relevant operators.
• To facilitate and manage bookings, payments, and related communications.
• To verify operator credentials and maintain a DGCA-compliant marketplace.
• To send transactional communications (booking confirmations, quote updates, account alerts).
• To send service-related marketing updates where you have given consent, or where permitted under applicable law. You may opt out at any time.
• To comply with applicable laws, regulatory requirements, and to enforce our Terms and Conditions.
• To improve platform performance, security, and user experience.

We share your data only as necessary:

• With operators: We share booking-relevant details (name, contact, travel details) with the operator handling your charter.
• With payment processors: We use third-party processors to handle payments. They are bound by their own privacy and security standards.
• With service providers: We may share data with infrastructure, analytics, or communication vendors who process data on our behalf under contractual data processing obligations.
• With authorities: We will disclose data when required by law, court order, or regulatory demand.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.

We retain personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. Booking records are retained for a minimum of 7 years to comply with applicable tax and regulatory requirements. Account data is deleted within 30 days of a deletion request, subject to legal hold obligations.

As a Data Principal under the DPDP Act 2023, you have the right to:

• Access a summary of personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
• Erase your personal data, subject to our legal retention obligations.
• Withdraw consent for processing where consent is the legal basis.
• Nominate a person to exercise your rights on your behalf in the event of death or incapacity.
• Lodge a grievance with us, and escalate to the Data Protection Board of India if unresolved.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at cs@charterindia.live with the subject line "Data Rights Request". We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the platform, remember your preferences, and analyse usage. We use only technically necessary cookies by default. Analytics or preference cookies are only set with your consent (where applicable under law). You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings.

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure. These include encrypted transmission (HTTPS), access controls, and secure database infrastructure via Supabase. No system is completely secure; in the event of a data breach that poses significant risk, we will notify affected users and relevant authorities as required by law.

Our platform is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has submitted data through our platform, contact us immediately at cs@charterindia.live and we will delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the platform or by email. Continued use of the platform following notification of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
